Why "seamless" and what's the advantage?

Our seamless gutters are roll formed to custom lengths for your home, business or job site, using mobile gutter machines in our trucks. This allows us to instantly accommodate any design, from the simplest to the most demanding, with ease. Clogs and leaks are greatly reduced, while gutter life is increased.

Why Preferred Seamless Gutters and not the other guy?

We are family owned and operated since 1997. Our installers are fully trained and proud of the work they do. Most of our gutter components are made in house, so we have control over quality. We only use the best raw materials so you get the best finished product. Our business is our lifeblood, and is built on a foundation of Christian values, so you can be sure you'll be happy with your gutter system from Preferred Seamless Gutters.

Will your gutter systems damage my roof shingles?

Nope, never! Our gutters are attached to the fascia boards, not under your shingles, so they never void your roof warranty. Other systems which install under the shingles may void your roof warranty and will also require you to pay to have someone uninstall/reinstall your gutters when you replace your roof shingles.

What sizes and colors are available?

We normally stock about 30 different colors, so we're pretty sure we have something to meet your requirements. Our gutters come in five-inch and six-inch K-Style aluminum and copper. We also make half-round gutters in aluminum and copper for that classy, ornate look. We also have many custom colors that are available to order, so there's never any home we can't match perfectly.

May I visit your office to view your color selection personally?

Yes, you sure can! Or, we will come to you and bring our samples, discuss your requirements, and provide a no-obligation quote at your convenience. We are located at 653 N. Van Dyke Rd. in Imlay City, Michigan. Our office hours can vary depending on the time of year, so your best bet is to contact us and set an appointment before arriving.

What are your service areas?

We service the following counties in Michigan: Genesee, Huron, Lapeer, Macomb, Oakland, Sanilac, St. Clair and Tuscola.

About how long will it take to install gutters on my home?

Well, that depends on the size and complexity of the gutter system you need, but many homes can be completely installed in one day, including leaf-guard protection.

What is your work season? Do you work year round?

Our busiest season runs from about March through December, but we work year round, weather permitting.

What kind of warranty do you provide?

Our materials and workmanship are warranted for five (5) years from date of installation. Our installers take pride in their work, and it shows. This 5-year warranty covers both our gutters and our leaf-guard installations.

Will I have a big mess to clean up after your workers have left?

Absolutely not! Our teams will professionally install your gutter system and completely clean up after themselves when the job is finished. We're also very conscious of your landscaping/shrubs/plants and do our very best to leave everything exactly the way it was before we arrived. We make sure our teams have well-stocked, updated trucks and equipment, so you won't have to deal with delays, equipment failure, or oil and transmission fluid leaking on your driveway or in front of your house.

Do you contract out, or are your workers all employees of Preferred Seamless Gutters?

All our associates are employees of Preferred Seamless Gutters. We don't contract out any work. All our installation teams are highly trained and qualified before we send them out to work on your home, business or job site.

Can you install a seamless gutter system on my c. 1890s historic home that has no fascia board anywhere?

We have fastening systems for all applications and we've installed gutter systems on many historical homes including some in towns such as Almont, Romeo and Imlay City. We can even successfully gutter a witch's hat, fitting the angles together with ease. We've had lots of feedback from customers saying that Preferred Seamless Gutters installed the first gutter system that actually worked on their historical home.

Can you provide a leaf-guard system for my gutters?

Of course, we can! We can provide an all-aluminum, leaf-guard system at the same time we install your seamless gutter system. Our leaf-guard systems never rust and install below the roof shingles, (not underneath them), so there's no worry about damaging your shingles or voiding your roof warranty. We can even install a leaf-guard system on your existing 5" or 6" K-Style gutters.

Will a leaf-guard system change the look of my home?

No, our leaf-guard system doesn't interfere with your roof's shingles and is generally not visible (unless you're up on the roof). We use screws to install the leaf guard, so you can remove and reinstall it if you ever need to access the inside of the gutters, or want to get everything out of the way to do some roof work.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are fully insured and will provide copies of Workman's Comp and Liability upon request.

Will you install a Leaf-Guard System on my existing gutters?

Yes, we can install our leaf-guard system on your existing 5" or 6" K-style gutters, provided the gutters, fascia and soffit are in good shape.

What causes streaks or "tiger stripes" on my existing gutters?

Streaks, or "tiger stripes" on the face of your gutters are caused by a combination of air-born dirt, pollen, etc. and rain drops/dew drops, similar to the dirt you get on your siding and aluminum trim. The face of your gutters may be cleaned using a common, (non-abrasive), siding cleaner which may be purchased at most home centers.

Do you provide gutter cleaning services also?

No, sorry. We are a seamless gutter system installer only. There are companies that specialize in gutter cleaning.
